Comments: This flatbed printer was bought new in 2014. It has been a work horse for this studio, frequently printing 60 sheets/shift. In early 2017 we bought a higher quality flatbed. The new flatbed has taken all of the work away from this one. For the last 3 or 4 months it has mostly just run it's automatic maintenance every hour to keep the heads in good order. It did take my production manager an hour to get it cleaned up and ready to run, but the attached pictures show the nozzle check, and sample print. There are three error codes having to do with calibration (see pictures). Unfortunately, I am apparently completely out of range of the HP flatbed tech. For some reason, we have to fly HP in from Texas to service this flatbed. The trip and hotel alone cost $3000 and that is before he even looks at the printer. When we originally bought this flatbed, we had a tech much closer and this wasn't a problem. Because of the high cost to get a tech out, we have continued to print with the calibration errors present that we could not correct ourselves. If the new owner is in the HP service area, this would be a lot easier and cost effective to have them out to re-calibrate it.
